Set your mind as ease guys! As Samsung uncover their latest iPhone 3G fighter, namely the Omnia i900. This will be soon released in a new white color version, according to several rumors appeared on the Web. You might say that this is obviously a move aimed at stealing some of the success the white iPhone 3G has, and you’d probably be right.

According to the press release this white Omnia will apparently be first released in Singapore and, by the end of August, it should also reach other markets. White back case aside, the new Omnia doesn’t seem to bring anything different from the original version; thus, it will have the following features: a 3.2 inch TFT touchscreen display with 240 x 400 pixels, 256K colors and handwriting recognition, Windows Mobile 6.1 with a TouchWiz interface, accelerometer, GSM and HSDPA connectivity, GPS, Wi-Fi, a 5 Megapixel camera with auto focus, flash and video recording, full HTML browser, Music and Video players with Bluetooth headset, TV out, document viewer and editor, 8/16GB of internal memory, microSD card support and so forth. This will be the absolute competitor of iPhone!

Good information. Right now I just got a Samsung Omnia SCH-i910 in the mail from ebay, and it currently seems that it’s at stock settings for the Verizon Network. I plan to utilize this cell phone on Metro PCS. I also wish to set Windows Mobile 6.5 on here, but I’m not positive which purchase I must do this in. Really should I acquire it to Metro PCS as is and have it activated, and be able to afterwards flash the ROM with 6.five? Or must I modify the ROM primary and be able to acquire it to Metro PCS? I’ve been looking all around and I’m unable to locate the solution to this.
