Pet Safety Tips!

  • Never leave your pet in a hot car for any length of time. Some nations have laws against this, and you can be fined.
  • Stop your dog from drinking pool water – chlorine and other chemicals can be harmful. And contrary to their reputation, not all canines are good doggy paddlers; be sure yours is, or protect her from too-deep water.
  • Walk your pet in the morning or evening but not the hot sun, as the pavement could be too hot for your pal’s pads and he may get sunburned.
  • Keep your pet under shade at the beach. If he becomes overheated, he will pant and drool excessively. Bring plenty of water – at least three times what your pet normally drinks) anytime you’re outdoors.
  • Don’t apply bug spray or sunscreen to your animal (unless formulated for pets) – it may make him sick.
