You Are a Total Brainiac

You're amazingly brilliant. Some would even say genius.
You're curious, thoughtful, analytical, and confident.

You take on difficult subjects because you want to... not because you have to.
No field of knowledge is too complicated or intimidating for you.

You've got the brains to do anything you want.
It's possible you end up doing everything you want.

Heavy Life made Easy

Peter was once a healthy boy. He is in his first grade when he was hit by a high fever. His doctors diagnose his ailment as polio this epidemic had claims numbers of lives in that place. Luckily this young boy has a strong will to survive his doctor says. After a month or more he recovered but sad news to his parents was he can no longer walk. Thanks to a simple machine a GoWheelchair-Rollator-2. The family purchases one for Peter. They started to bring the boy outside the house using the machine so he can have the morning sunlight and for him to have garden fresh air. A boy was still fragile but the family is trying not to absent from doing it. They go to the hospital again for his checkup. The doctor was surprise because according to him the boy was recuperating very fast. The doctor asks the mother if they were applying therapy. Yes we bring him outside using the equipment we purchased from an online store. We really recommend the Wheelchair-rollator-2 for giving our child the chance to experience life even if he could not walk. After 2 years the boy went back to school and still using the simple machine. He graduated elementary and high school after then he took a computer course and finished it like a normal person. This man still uses his machine as he was employed in a government office as an encoder. If not with this machine he might still be lying on the bed.

I need cash!!!

Do you have a job but still short on cash? Well, I think I’m that person. My salary is not that small compare to other people at my age however still it’s not enough for me. So, for me to live according to my lifestyle I always make cash advance. Extravagance I guess but what can I do I love shopping just like any other girls whim. This stands true especially when I’m not in the mood, only a new shoes or dress can perk up my day. Not only that, I have my regular business travel where I really need to spend. Furthermore I always see to it that after a hard days work I give myself a gift, which is a good meal and dining out is the best way to have it. Going to the parlor to beautify myself is also treat I can’t say no. It is really as important as my food and it is always satisfying to look good every time I look in the mirror. So where will I get the cash to spend all those? My answer is cash advance.

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do that by the one you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

Hey guys I like this quote of Mark Twain. It tells us to take the risks, to go further, to discover more, have no fear like one product says on its advertise. We should not wait for another day to reach our dream so we will not regret it in the future. Do it now!!!

Caribbean escapade!!!

For us girls, Aside from our 18th birthday, our wedding is one of the most memorable times of our life. I just love to mesmerize the feeling of walking in the aisle. And the most exciting part is the honeymoon. Well, while I browse the net I found this beautiful St Thomas Villa Rental with its oceanfront settings perfect for honeymooners located in the Caribbean Islands. You can do a lot of romantic activities with your hubby like boat and historic tours, fishing, snorkeling, and golf. Have you done all those activities I’ve mention? Well I don’t, that is why I’m very eager to do all those when I get marry to my boyfriend; he doesn’t like me to call him that way he prefers to be called hubby. But girls if you are interested to have your honeymoon or vacation here consult your hubby first. You may expect to pay premium prices and endure crowds of tourist but its worth the pay since this is an experience of a lifetime. Remember they have the best amenities and spectacular views that you would really enjoy and not to mention there are only few places like this in the world. So why not grab one and have fun…

My old fashioned Jewelry box..

My Jewelry Box

This jewelry box was given to me when I was 2 years old, imagine that was 1983. My mom said I was so happy when I received her present but she kept the box and was handed to me only when I turned 11.
I decided to display this picture in so that the world will know the importance of old belongings, not because it was expensive but because of it's sentimental value.. Thank you so much mom!

Getting loko over Chocolate.....

There are times when my taste buds crave for sweets. Even if I'm still in the office I'm already thinking of sweet foods like chocolates, candies and cakes. After work I immediately go to the mall along with my hubby and grab the most appetizing sweet temptation of all (chocolate bar). Can you just imagine the texture of chocolate, its aroma and the sweet blend of milk, cocoa and sugar? But not all chocolate bars on the market are created equal so I make sure that I choose the best. And guess what I never failed, I always pick the best tasting chocolate bar. I know that this craving is something to get rid about coz it really adds up to my pounds but what can I do? I even heard that if a person eats a lot of choco, the hips get big and it is obvious among the people who consume lots of chocolate...

One more thing accordingly we Filipinos have a sweet tooth, so would that mean of getting rid of my tooth? Ouch.... Well anyway my craving is not that serious and I wouldn’t let myself get enslave with chocolate... That is all for now enjoy your choco.....

how feminist I am?

Wednesday, January 23, 2008

You Are 84% Feminist

You are a total feminist. This doesn't mean you're a man hater (in fact, you may be a man).

You just think that men and women should be treated equally. It's a simple idea but somehow complicated for the world to put into action.

Are You a Feminist?

~I think this explains why I am that dominant, especially in planning for the future. Well, at least you can also help your partner in anyway. We should be practical now specially this days!!!

Tips for Today

Tuesday, January 22, 2008

Here are some tips to avoid family conflicts on young adults who move back to their parent’s home.

First, as much as possible, children should contribute what they can at home; it may not be in terms of money but being a productive family member will help them earn their keep. This could involve teaching younger siblings or helping parents doing with the chores and errands.

Second, these so called returnees should not expect their parents to rescue them from their difficulties. As young adults they should be responsible enough to fix their troubles and they should try to avoid it as much as possible.

Lastly, they must respect their parents and own needs for independence. It is unrealistic for parent’s lives to still revolve around the needs of a grown up child, in the manner they may have when the child was younger.

Viagra and My Great Grand Uncle

Monday, January 21, 2008

My great grand uncle who is 84 years old is still happy with his 15 year old girl. He married twice but the two wives were already dead. And now he is living with his 15 year old girl and still maintaining concubines as he claims. I ask him as to his secret? Well he simply answered me that he is using viagra.

When he reached the age of 40 he started having problems with his duty as a husband and he felt insecure. From that on, he and his second wife always have big fights. So he went to the doctor for some advice to save their marriage and to keep his concubines who soon lose their interest towards him. The doctor then prescribes him viagra as a solution to his problem. He told me that he was very satisfied when he started using viagra in his second wife. But unfortunately his second wife died last 2005. However before she died, she claims that my great grand uncle is really sexually aggressive. As of today, He still boasts that he can still do well despite his age. “Thanks to viagra” he says. As I look at his face I think it’s true since he is a happy man and also his 15 year old girl just gives birth to a healthy boy last year.

Monday sickness

Monday again the same routine my mother wakes me up early; we have our coffee and breakfast. After doing so, I suddenly feel this laziness which I’m feeling every Monday. I know this is some sort of a psychological problem but what can I do I just don’t like my work anymore. After 3 years of working, I now feel the boredom of continually doing the same thing over and over again. Especially on Mondays, when I just have had my rest day. I don’t like to wake up and go to the office since I’m just doing the never ending routine. Funny to say that I felt an achievement of not reporting to the office now, since we are not allowed to take a leave, crazy right? We are entitled for that but we can’t practice it anytime due to many reason. So now I’m just here in my home and writing down my thoughts. I’m just crazy and funny sometimes.

organize storage

Many of us are fond of buying wines and store them so that we could drink it anytime if occasion arrives. But have you ever experienced congestion in your cabinet because of too many wine bottles? Or have you ever get confused which bottle to pick because they are not well organized? These problems could also lead to accidents.

Why not give yourself wine storage equipment that is cost efficient and durable. The Vine Store offers a wide variety of wine racks from wood to metal, hanging to wall mounted; that are custom designed to fit your taste and needs. With the right equipment, wine storage will be a breeze. This is a convenient way in organizing your stocks of wine as well preventing accidents. Not only that, they also offer wine racks that comes in a variety of bottle capacity size for residential and commercial needs. If you are in a tight budget, well you are in the right place since the store offers affordable prices on their wine racks depending on your choice. The Vine Store will readily ship whatever you order from them and it’s good to know that they deliver all across the United States, so what’s the wait when they are just a click away.

The Story of Ukinurot

Saturday, January 19, 2008

The people lived in the heavens and there were yet no human beings on earth. However on earth was glistening water and fresh green plants and trees. Ukinurot, a hunter in heaven, was fed up with the never-changing diet of meat, the brown and bare landscape and the warm clothing made of birds’ feathers

While hunting one day, a large bird swam into his ken. He aimed his bow and arrow at it and shot. The arrow passed clean through the bird’s body and landed on the ground, a distance away, and was deeply embedded in the ground. As he pulled it, a good amount of soil came up with the arrow, leaving a large hole in the ground. Ukinurot peered through the hole and saw below him shining water and green earth. He summoned his companions, men and women, and all were pleased with what they saw.

Then they decided to go down. They plucked the bird’s feathers and twined a rope with them. Then one by one they climbed down. A rather fat woman could not go through the opening.

Ukinurot was the last to descend. As soon as he touched earth, the rope snapped. So they could no longer return. The fat woman who remained in heaven, lights up the stars every night to remind the people below whence they originally came. The hole through below which they descended now shines as the moon.

Misamis Oriental Myth by Francisco Demetrio, SJ

This is a mythological story from the Philippines; accordingly the earth was unmanned till Ukinurot from heaven accidentally discovered that there was a paradise below them. Out of curiosity they then went down from heaven and accidentally settled on earth.

Isn’t it amazing how people think of the beginning of the human race here on Earth? Well, there are lots of beautiful stories through out the world and for me this story is one of them.

a trip to CagAyan de ORo

I recently went to Cagayan for our quarterly regional meeting. Before I feel so excited going there however last Wednesday the feeling is a little different. I’m not pretty sure as to why but one thing is for sure it is exhausting since it’s a 7 hr drive from Davao. I slept late to pack my belongings and woke up at 3:30 am to fix myself since my colleagues and I departed from Davao at 5:30 am.

However the good thing of going there is that I can take a break from work. Yehey!!! I love to think that it is my award for waking up really early, could it be??? Maybe, since I really enjoy the leisurely walk to the malls buying my family some pastel (Cagayan’s local specialty) and many more pasalubongs. That’s all for now have a great day everyone.

Party on Cue

Monday, January 14, 2008

Set up for a fun backyard party without having to search endlessly for the citronella candles, the barbecue lighter, or the grill tongs. Organize like a pro, with “stations” for entertaining supplies, so you never have to waste time hunting for them. Tuck everything into a portable container (like that nice picnic basket you never use) and park it near the door to your patio. Cushion breakables with something soft.

Business Permit Renewal – Davao City

I was satisfied with the processing of the Business Permit here in Davao City. The process was trimmed down to 4 easy steps; so far this was the easiest as compared to last year. Also, they maximized the floor area of the building giving enough space to prevent congestion. In addition to that, they are now using numbering system and megaphones to give more systematic and organized process flow. Lastly, they have extended scheduled time until 7:00pm to cater all applicants.

I totally admire the new system now because I finished my task in a short period of time. Whew!!! What a relief….

Sniff This Trivia

Sunday, January 13, 2008

The word perfumes sprung from two Latin words, ‘per’ (through) and ‘fume’ (smoke). The art of perfume making took place in ancient Egypt, but it was the Romans and the Arabs who improved the craft. Today, many procedures are being followed for making modern perfumes. The most general process is extracting oil from flowers through distillation.

PH Peso vs. US Dollar

Saturday, January 12, 2008

A few years back I can still recall how my customers enjoy their remittances sent by their loved ones from abroad. Well that was long time ago when the peso was at its lowest value against the US dollar. There are reasons why Filipinos should be happy with weak peso, first they can purchase more goods with high exchange rate. Imagine a US dollar would cost 56 pesos and with that value you could buy many things, a kilo of rice and fish for viand, no wonder why many were happy that time. Those days were over because today the value of Philippine money strengthened fueled by strong economic growth. The exchange rate shed almost 10% making OFW’s reluctant in sending money to their families here in the Philippines. As a result the “should be” goods that can be purchased with a dollar are no longer true. You can no longer a buy a kilo of rice or even a fish for viand with your dollar. With that situation who would be happy?. Anyhow my clients still claim money and the have a say to every cents they get….. That is all for now

New Year’s Resolution — A Tag

Saturday, January 5, 2008

*Start Copy Here*

When it comes to New Year’s Resolutions we seem to fall into four categories:

1) quite serious about them,
2) be flippant about them,
3) do it because we feel pressured to, or
4) do not do them. So, the purpose of this little game is to let us know which category you are in.

Copy from “*Start Copy Here*” through “*End Copy Here*” and post it. Before “*End Copy Here*” tell us who you are, your site(s) (with link) and your New Year’s Resolution, or not.

Then tag as many others as you like, from one to your entire blogroll, your choice.

If you like, create an intro paragraph to your post that also acknowledges who tagged you.

NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS:

Chari - Glamorous Sylph - my new years resolution is to read more books and to eat less since im already gaining weight. Also to save money this year since last 2007 i always spend it in shopping. to enjoy my life this 2008.

Juliana – Juliana’s Site - My New Year’s resolutions are looking for a part time job, keep blogging, and learn to cook and bake.

Michelle - Rusin Roundup - 1. Learn to be happier and accept myself for who I am, 2. Is to lose about 25 lbs., and 3. Is to stop smoking.

Karen - Grow Rich Along With Me - My resolution for next year is to achieve $3K per month passive income by the end of 2008.

Mel - Attitude, the Ultimate Power & Complain Complain Complain - “I don’t need no stinking resolutions.” I never hold to them anyway so why frustrate myself by starting them now.

Sandee - Comedy Plus - I don’t need no stinking resolutions either. Years and years ago I did them because everyone else did, but not once did I follow through. Why set yourself up for failure?

Lynda - lynda’s loft - My resolution is to see resolve to that which needs resolution. Like Mel and Sandee, I feel that resolutions give us more stress, however, being a person who sets goals each year, isn’t that the same thing as a resolution??? Goals vs. resolutions? Goals are more general and allow for more time to complete them, a resolution requires a mind-set and immediate action, which is not always feasible… Well, that’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it…

Amelia - Amel’s Realm - This is a list of my New Year’s Resolution:

1. Health: Continue exercising twice a week, eat enough veggies and fruit, have enough rest, take vitamin C regularly and women’s multivitamin during my period.

2. Spiritual: Improve my Daily Bread reading routine and my prayer life and learn more from God’s Word.

3. Financial: Continue to make money online (my goal is getting €100 per month at least), be more creative in writing posts, and save most of the money.

4. General Life: Continue to learn Finnish AND practice it as best and often as I can, try out more baking and cooking recipes, continue to maintain and share positive thoughts, continue to learn to control my thoughts, continue to learn to catch myself before I start complaining and count my blessings instead, continue to stop and cherish all the little moments in life that oftentimes go unnoticed, and continue to feed my inner child and last but not least, continue to ENJOY my life thoroughly.

Max - MAX - My New Year’s resolutions are to dedicate more time to my friends; to finally be able to read “Der Spiegel” in German; to be calm when organizing my marriage; to go one last time to my favourite club and dance the night away; and continue to be happy!

Eric - Speedcat Hollydale - I love chicken. Problem is that I really never get to have enough chicken! My New Year’s resolution is to enact “Chicken Tuesday”. On this day I will eat only chicken, blog about chicken, and promote chickens all over the world. (hormone free) Join me, won’t you?

Marzie - Mariuca & Mariuca’s Perfume Gallery - My resolution for 2008 is to enjoy a healthier lifestyle and to expand my Perfume Collection.

Sindi- Life Is A Roller Coaster - My resolution is to complain less, pray more and be a little more thankful for what I have.

Judy - Sugar Queen’s Dream - My New Year’s resolution is:To take better care of my health. To eat better, well at least 3 meals a day, I’m lucky these days if I stop for one meal a day….To help make the world a better place to live, I love the human race, but think there’s always room for change. To be generous until it hurts. To live each day as if it’s my last.To make a book of our personal family recipes and traditions for each of my 3 my children, so that the traditions and family cooking can be passed on in my family line long after I’m gone and finally…….To help more with the local Human society, Animals like little kids can not fend for themselves so it’s up to each of us to take care of our pets and to step in and care for all animals…..I hope that through me I can encourage my Children to be better adults and in turn to raise the Children they have or will have, to be good people with good, sound & solid values…. Peace!

Adrian - First Time Dad - My New Year’s Resolution for 2008 is to be a better father…now I don’t usually make New Year’s resolutions because I never keep them but this one I better keep! Happy New Year to one and all!

Colin - Life - New Years Resolution? No way…Better to achieve more throughout the year rather than pander to the whims of a one day ‘wishful thought’

Mauro - 1 Million Love Messages - My resolution for next year are:

1. Change my job (maybe work online). I’m really unhappy in the actual one.

2. Dedicate more time to my family and girlfriend… maybe start to get ready for our wedding :-) 3. Work hard in 1 Million Love Messages and reach 2500 Love messages (or more) in the end of 2008.

MidgetManOfSteel - Mental Poo - To get out of dealing with people who I have no desire in helping at the job I’m doing…catch the eye of someone who can see that I can write and be funny…and get my own ticket to happiness from my humor….and a Ferrari. While I’m doing this, I resolve to get a Ferrari.

Stacy - My Thoughts - My New Year’s Resolution for 2008 - Is to be more understanding to my children and to other people, Not to curse at others while I am driving, try to eat right and exercise, try to volunteer in my community, and to believe more in my spiritual side.

Jason - DatCurious.com & DatMoney.com - Although, I normally don’t do New Year’s Resolutions (because I find it as an excuse to actually do something I should’ve already been doing), this year I will plan on giving back to the blogging community, especially my audience. I’m not sure how I will do it yet, but I definitely will.

Kesa - Little Aussie Cynic - My New Years Resolution is the standard….. to finally get off the smokes and to loose 8kg…. both which are possible just difficult…..Happy New Year to you and yours….Aussie

Ann - A Nice Place in the Sun - “To let the rest of my life begin as soon as possible.”

Juliana of My World and Juliana’s Lair. Get moving and really stick to an excercise regimen to maintain good cholesterol level and blood pressure. I have been really bad, and cheated a lot. I hope to do something about it this year.

*End Copy Here*

Anne, jenny and red what's your resolution?

You Snooze, You Lose

Thursday, January 3, 2008

Add one hour of sleep to your schedule, and you could drop up to 14 pounds this year. New data shows that you’ll likely eat six percent less if you replaced 60 minutes of awake time (when you may snack) with an hour of shut eye. And a Harvard study that tracked around 68,000 women found that those who clocked only five or fewer hours of rest a night had a 32 percent greater chance of gaining more than 30 pounds over a 16-year period than those who got seven hours of sleep.
