Whenever you have extra broth, pour it into a plastic ice cube tray and freeze. Once frozen they can be removed and stored in the freezer in a plastic bag. They can be added to soups or used to saute foods.

Clear plugged sinks by pouring a half-cup of baking soda followed by a full cup of vinegar into the drain before pouring down some hot water. To clear a greasy clogged drain, pour a cup of salt water and a cup of soda down the drain, followed by hot water.

Use a little toothpaste to remove black scruff marks from appliances.

To remove mineral deposit from the inside of a steam iron, fill it with equal parts water and white vinegar. Let it steam for several minutes, then disconnect and let set for 1 hour. Empty and rinse with clear water .

To remove rust on knives, pierce an onion with the rusty knife, leave it for 24 hours. Move it back and forth before removing it; then rinse off.
