Earth Day 2009

All of us have responsibility towards mother earth that is why I want to become an earth advocate in my own little ways. I do recycle my waste and as much as possible use items like shopping bags that are reusable. I separate plastics, papers, and so on. And have it recycled in a junk shop.

However, I have several confidential documents that I kept for a long time that seems to be of no use for me now. I can’t dispose them to junk shops since it contains pertinent information. I wonder if we have document shredding facility nearby. So, I searched the web. I might find useful information with regards my documents.

To my dismay no companies offer Document Shredding like that of paper exchange. By the way, paper exchange is the leading provider of document destruction, recycling services and hauling services to all types of organizations in Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Eastern Ohio. That means I am thousands of miles away from them. They have state-of-the-art DOCUMENT SHREDDING facility that enables them to destroy all kinds of documents whether that is confidential or non-confidential. They cater to almost all kinds of institutions namely legal, health care, finance, and even personal. Whatever the size of the organization, they have affordable programs to meet their clients.

That’s just it, so I guess it leaves me no choice but shred these documents by myself. Sadly I don’t have a shredder that means I have to cut it until it is done. It could take me sometime to finish everything since I have a huge pile. I think it is the best possible instead of just throwing them into the garbage bin. I still have to send them to junk shops for recycling, but I have to make sure that all of it is destroyed. We never know, if it is not destroyed it might leak out and might be used against me.
