We know that concealer is one of the most used cosmetic products for its ability to hide any imperfection – from pimples to blemishes and wrinkles to a certain extent – it is often overlooked when it comes to its importance in our daily makeup ritual. Stylists say concealer is the perfect cover-up at all times and this is why we should always have it with us. So, here are several tips on how to use it to emphasize our natural beauty.
- A dash of concealer can work wonderfully with the smoky eyes makeup that is now all the rage, as well as for an instant repair job on a night out. Put a tiny dot under your brows and blend – it will help accentuate the brow bone.
- Concealer is also ideal to repair smudges or running makeup, thus eliminating the need to remove the makeup and apply it again. Of course, there is also the basic use of concealer – that of hiding dark circles, in which case stylists recommend applying it in a triangle shape up to the cheekbone to “avoid the panda effect.”
- This can also work miracles in terms of getting the perfect lips, which is yet another use that is often overlooked by women. Stylists have it that applying it to the lips before the lippy is the perfect way to ensure that the latter sticks for longer periods, while also guaranteeing we get just the color we want.
- For an anti-aging effect, concealer again comes extremely in handy. Applying dashes with a pen concealer to the most visible wrinkles, such as those between the eyebrows and from nose to mouth, is guaranteed to take years off our face, stylists point out. This makes lines look less obvious by adding lightness to the dark creases in skin. To accentuate your pout, apply the same concealer to your ‘Cupid’s bow,’ which is just above the center of your top lip. If you also apply it to the outer corners of your eyes and blend, it can give a ‘lifting’ illusion, stylist recommends.
