The Church in which we attend mass every Sunday has this beautiful garden pond with a Virgin Mary image. I am really amazed to see it when it was new. The pond lights are on, there are fish, the pond fountain and waterfalls are perfectly functioning. Definitely, the pond pumps are in good shape at that time.
However, after a few months, I can clearly see algae growing that turning the water green. The number of fish shrank and the waterfalls and fountain are no longer working. I speculate several reasons such as broken pumps or the Church administrator no longer have budget, or it could be other things.
Whatever the reason, it is actually good to see the pond just like the first time. It is so refreshing. It gives the sense of nature even if it is situation right next to a busy street. Hopefully, I can see it again this Christmas.
