According to my research, women have more weigh problems than that of men. We may not like to hear it, but we have a number of barriers towards maintaining a healthy weight that men have probably never considered. We don’t lose as much fat as men at the same rate. Most of these fats is stored around the hips, butts and breast and is there to support the female through pregnancy even during periods where food may be scarce.
Most women are typically under more pressure to achieve an unrealistically lean body shape that can significantly lead to psychological consequences. That is the reason, many more women have attempted to and achieved weight loss through various crazy and unproven, although popular, weight loss strategies that ends up in the yo-yo or rebound effect. The body becomes more and more protective of the energy it has making any future weight loss even difficult.
Another reason is that women are more exposed to stress, worry and anxiety which can affect the weight loss and stress Management is an essential tool for that.
Some tips to overcome weight loss problems
- Give yourself a bit more lee way when it comes to losing weight
- Be aware of overly restrictive eating and the tendency to binge when things go wrong
- Exercise and ask doctors advice if it is okay to take in weight loss pills.
- Practice eating to live – not living to eat
- Don’t try to compare- set your own goals and targets
