After the Anilox cleaner, my father now had another special requests. He wants me to search for Retaining Rings made of techtron. I think, I’m becoming my father’s favorite daughter, favorite to ask favors.
Anyway, I gladly accepted to do the task. Before jumping to online stores, I need to check what exactly techtron is. All he said is that it is a plastic, period. No more follow-up explanation after that. So, that leaves me no choice, but to research about it by myself.
Based on my research, Techtron polyphenylene sulfide is a strong and rigid advanced engineering thermoplastic that offer the broadest resistance to chemicals. It’s a very sturdy plastic that has no known solvents below 392º F (200º C) that means it has dimensional stability. And it doesn’t react to steam, strong bases, fuels, and acids. It is also resistant to wear and tear. I supposed this product will last for a long period of time, which makes it very cost efficient.
I wonder where my father would use this product. Well, that is his business, mine is to look for the product and I’m free. But, I already spend at least three hours this day and I can’t get the exact item he needs. Sigh! Hopefully I get this task right.
