Prior this year tabloids somehow caught wind of a potentially very juicy story: “Twilight” heartthrob Robert Pattinson had been approached by Courtney Love to play her late husband in a Nirvana Biopic and he had almost agreed to do it. Shortly after, Love herself denied the reports, saying having Pattinson as Kurt would have been “stupid,” a remark that more than irked the British actor for how rude it was.

Consequently, he’s fighting back, HollywoodLife informs – and he’s not about to let Love get away with it that easily. According to the e-zine, while promoting the latest “Twilight” film, “Eclipse,” Pattinson was asked about the whole fuss around the Nirvana biopic and how, at one point, he was attached to star in it as Cobain himself. That part was true, he says: he was offered the role but he turned it down for several practical reasons, one of them (and the deal-breaker, actually) being that he looks nothing like the late rocker.

“I love Nirvana, but I love them a bit too much – I’d be embarrassed [to play Kurt Cobain],” the British actor told UK’s The Mirror, as cited by HollywoodLife. “I didn’t get offered it. For one thing, I’m too tall, and I can’t sing like him, I’m nothing like him. It’s ridiculous,” Pattinson goes on to say about the whole hubbub in the media. Partly responsible for it was Courtney Love herself, Robert further explains, because she went ahead and shot off her large mouth without as much as thinking, thus putting him in a rather embarrassing light.

Following the goodbye from “Transformers” franchise, Megan Fox has remained incredibly tight-lipped, save for a single statement coming from her spokesperson, in which she stated she was the one to leave and was therefore not fired. Not that this has stopped rumors from making the rounds, for that matter. In the latest issue of Interview magazine, Fox sets the record straight saying whatever dumb remarks she may have made in past interviews, she made them on purpose, the New York Daily News informs.

“Who said she was nuts? Megan Fox has revealed her thoughtful, sensitive side in Interview magazine’s latest issue, in which the star chats with, of all people, ‘The Hangover’ funnyman Zach Galifianakis about the pressures of fame and how much her bad-girl image is a result of her own attempts at misdirection. The result is a surprisingly thoughtful portrait of a woman who has been pegged as, alternately, a brat, a lunatic or an ingrate throughout the years by the media. For example, Fox gives a reasonable explanation for her dislike for the paparazzi,” the NYDN writes.

Singer Fergie and “Transformers” star Josh Duhamel renewed their wedding vows one year after tying the knot, in what was a surprise ceremony put together by Josh himself, Us Magazine has learned. The actor managed to keep the ceremony a secret until the last moment and Fergie was completely taken aback by his sweet gesture.

The couple got hitched on January 10 last year on a beach in Malibu. On the occasion of their first anniversary, Josh organized a wonderful party and a brief ceremony to have their vows renewed as well. Since this took place on Wednesday, meaning not exactly on their anniversary, Fergie did not suspect anything until the last moment. During the 15-minute ceremony, held on a bluff overlooking the ocean, Fergie was ‘crying and very emotional,’ a source tells. Afterward, the couple had a romantic dinner at the resort’s upscale Miro eatery. They had the whole restaurant to themselves and left before the first customers came in, sources added. Following the meal, the couple left hand-in-hand to return to the helicopter and fly back to Los Angeles.

This comes on the heels of reports saying that the two stars are having a hard time in their marriage, mostly because Josh wants to start a family and Fergie is not yet ready to put her career on second place for it.

As you all know, these past few weeks have been extremely hard for golfer Tiger Woods, admittedly the highest earning athlete until just recently, as he made an estimated $100 million from endorsements alone. Following the car crash in which he was involved, his adulterous liaisons with other women have emerged, which has prompted Elin Nordegren to see attorneys in view of getting a divorce. The problem is, as TMZ says, Woods doesn’t want to go down that path.

Shortly after vehicle crash in which Woods was involved, text messages and e-mails to and from alleged lovers of Woods have surfaced in the media, and rumors started to circulate that Elin had already moved out of the house and was gearing up for a divorce. Yet, Woods seems to think that his marriage can still be salvaged, sources close to Elin says for TMZ, adding that the golfer will not agree to a divorce. If so, this would prove that his retirement from golf to become a better husband and father, as he said in a public letter issued after the scandal erupted, was not just a PR strategy to clean his image, but the actual truth. I am watching ASAP a Sunday variety show earlier and I can’t help myself but notice one of the young star hosts. She is one of the sought after stars of her generation. The only thing that bugs me is her size. She is super thin like she’s suffering from Anorexia. Her smile lines are becoming very obvious. She doesn’t look good anymore. The fact that being on television adds more size, meaning she is really super, super thin. She’s no longer sexy.

I hope somebody will tell her that about it since there are lots of health risks linked to being super thin just like obesity. I hope the next time I see her, she’ll be much healthier than she is today.

According to NME report, the latest celebrity to be diagnosed with the Swine Flu is rocker Marilyn Manson, which has become the hottest celebrity “trend.” After actress Lisa Rinna, “Harry Potter” star Rupert Grint and CNN’s chief medical expert, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, were diagnosed with the virus, Manson too has gotten official confirmation that he has contracted the Swine Flu. Of course, that’s not to say that Manson has lost his sense of humor and that he can’t find it in himself to crack a joke about the disease. It is not the result of making close contact with pigs and sadly he will live to tell the tale, the rocker jokes on his Facebook page, the aforementioned music publication says.

“So I have officially been diagnosed, by a real doctor, with THE SWINE FLU.” Manson wrote on his Facebook page earlier this week, announcing his fans of having contracted H1N1. We cannot deny the fact that they are famous, young, incredibly handsome and what’s most important single. They’re the men who make up People magazine’s annual list of the hottest bachelors of the moment, the guys any girl would kill to have and men to be. Chace Crawford, Chris Pine and Robert Pattinson are just three of the names featured on the list.

23-year-old “Gossip Girl” star Chace Crawford takes the top position, judged on popularity, good looks and demand from the industry. Hot on his heels is somewhat of a newcomer, “Star Trek” star Chris Pine who, no matter how much he insists he doesn’t like being a part of the fame game, continues to be among the hottest commodities of the day. Speaking of media attention and being famous, Chace reveals to People that being in the spotlight while involved with Taylor Swift has really taught him a couple of invaluable life lessons, even if their romance did not last. His perfect date, though, is far from the glamorous deal fans might imagine. Just like most of the other men included in the hot list, Chace too is actually quite laid back and is looking for something that resembles normalcy.

The other finalists on the hottest bachelors list are “Transformers” star Shia LaBeouf at number 3, and American Idol runner-up and one of the most promising stars on the music stage right now Adam Lambert at number 4. The fifth position is a tie between Ryan Eggold of “90210” and Kellan Lutz from “Twilight,” while the sixth goes to Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock. The top ten is rounded up by Brody Jenner on 7, rapper and actor Common (seen last in “Terminator: Salvation”) on 8, Taylor Kitsch (from “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”) on 9, and Robert Pattinson (who clearly no longer needs any introduction) on the final position.

As the news reported, two days before her 29th birthday and only hours before taking to the Cannes Film Festival to speak about her latest film as icon Jane Birkin, British actress Lucy Gordon was found dead in her Paris apartment. All leads are now pointing to suicide, although her boyfriend, whose identity has not been revealed to the media, has also been held all night for questioning, police representatives tell the same. Gordon was a relatively famous actress for the potential she had, as well as a very successful model.

Since her professional career was flourishing, it is believed she might have killed herself for personal reasons. Police says, neighbors believe she was depressed after one of her friends in Britain had also committed suicide, but some also say they had heard Lucy and her boyfriend argue bitterly the night before. The boyfriend, on his part, has reportedly told the police he found her hanging when he woke up on Wednesday morning, but that he knew no reason why she would do such a desperate act.

Mr. Gordon says in a statement, as quoted in the news “Her death has come completely out of the blue and the entire family is devastated. Everything about how she died is just speculation at the minute, and we want to concentrate on paying tribute to our daughter. We have loved her so much throughout her life. She was the light of mine, her mum’s, and her sister’s lives. Lucy was a lovely, generous and unselfish person who always gave so much thought to other people and put them before herself.”
