Last few weeks when too much heat hits the city, we experienced low supply of water that leads to several water interruptions in some areas. Luckily, we have our water running every day during that time. But, I have to admit we don’t have the quality of water we used to have before that incident. There were times when the water coming out from the faucet is way too dirty. It’s no longer usable even for bathing.
The problem persists for almost two days and we can’t go on using dirty water. So, the owner of the house decides to purchase water filter from reputable water filter supplier. We can’t deny that water filers offer several benefits including better tasting and better smelling drinking water by removing chlorine and bacterial contaminants and clean, healthy water that costs much less than bottled water. Well, this is just few of the many benefits water filter has to offer.
Good thing he made that move. She would definitely get his money’s worth by having a clean drinking water every day.

Nearly all garden fountains look astonishing when it is newly installed. And even when the effects of weather and age are obvious, garden fountain seems to charm everyone. Friends are coming and your house is a mess? No worries. Follow this advice from Julie Edelman, author of The Accidental Housewife, and you’ll have a neat, party-ready place in no time.
Get out the baskets – It’s OK to hide stuff in plain sight (i.e., magazines in a basket near the sofa, remote controls in a basket near the coffee table). It’s a trick Edelman calls “reshifting,” and it’ll not only make your home look organized but also ensure that you’ll be able to find key things later.
Pretty up the clutter - Got junk everywhere? Make it a decorative element—stack books horizontally and vertically on tables and floor, put cooking utensils in a cheerful water pitcher, fan out magazines in a fun way on the coffee table.
Don’t forget about the bathroom - Pull out disinfectant wipes and quickly clean the key surfaces. For the toilet bowl, drop a couple of effervescent tablets or pour a can of soda into the bowl; let it fizz for 20 minutes, then flush.
Suck it up - Sorry, but vacuuming is a must. Just run the vacuum quickly through the house. It’ll pick up little pieces of paper and dust and make your place look more polished instantly.

We are just staying here for about a month now, yet I’m already planning to go home. Actually, the initial plan is for us to stay for at least two to three years since hubby needs to work. But, plans do change and we have to make adjustments. None of the local companies want to accept applications, if there are, he needs to wait for few more months or at least year before undergoing interview. There’s just too many competitions and less hospitals for them to work. That’s why he is trying his luck abroad.
It seems like his applications are shedding some light that he will soon get a job. This week alone there are at least three companies that will interview him. If fortunate enough, then I have to go back home to my parents. I can’t stay here all by myself. There is no one here that I can converse with. Plus, I’m not used to being with myself for a long period of time.
Well, it seems that I really need to prepare to take over all his online jobs. That also implies I need higher specs gadget like desktop computer and many more. It’s time to look for Black Friday and Cyber Monday hot deals. My laptop won’t be enough to cater both my tasks and his tasks.
For sure, the savings I can get from the discounts will help us in our finances. I’m already expecting lots of cash out if ever hubby will get a job order.

Even if we are only boarders in this house, there are small things we want to do to show gratitude to the owners. They have been very nice and kind to us (me and hubby). They treat us like family that’s why we want to reciprocate the goodness.
One of the things that we could possibly do is to purchase an outdoor home lighting. Well, they think it’s not necessary, but it is really dark during nighttime because there are no lights around. It is really difficult seeing the pathway especially the outdoor stairs. That’s why a good quality outdoor light can really help. Other than that we could also buy a gas stove. The igniter of the old stove is already damage. We need to light it manually, which is very inconvenient for us.
Well, those are the only things we can think to enhance the house. And, those are also the things we can afford. LOL

Many of us, when one think of the many factors that affect the look of a room, they think only of the paint and furniture. In doing so, they overlook the most important factor: Lighting. Without the proper interior lighting, most rooms will lose any ambiance that the owner intended. For example, a room with too bright lights might make the room look harsh. A room with too dark lights might make a room appear gloomy. Many new homeowners have been disappointed when their carefully contrived plan for a room just doesn’t seem to have the right touch. More often then not, improper lighting is the cause.
How to correctly use lighting in your home? Well, the placement of interior lighting is very important. Even though a lamp might look good in a certain corner of a room, be sure to check that it will provide enough light for the whole room. Likewise, be sure to place lights in places where they will not cause glare on a computer monitor or television screen.
It is usually better to have many small light sources rather than one large one. If a room still appears too dark, check to make sure that all the lighting sources all have the correct voltage. If one gives a room proper lighting, not only will the room look great, it will also give the room just the right touch.

Honestly speaking I don’t love reading a lot. But, I am trying to keep and make it a hobby because it enhances my vocabulary as well as my sentence construction skill. I don’t have lots of those so I’m continually working on it.
Anyway, by the time I graduated from college and until now, I have collected at least fairly enough number of books, which is just collecting dust in one part of the house. Somebody told me to keep those as I will be able to find time to read them again. But, years and years have passed and not a single book is reopened for another round of reading. I think I am too lazy for that.
The only problem I have now is that I want to get them out to make room for some other stuff. Throwing is not an option because any books are useful items. Good thing I find “Sell back your book” website where I can sell used books.
All I have to do now is to sort which one will go and which one will stay, or I could sell them all that is also a good idea. Well, I still have to decide on that for now I’ll have to check how this work.

Yehey! Hubby and I are celebrating our fifth year anniversary together. I am a bit worried last February that we might end up celebrating our special day on Holy week just like last year. Good thing it’s over and we can freely celebrate it with fun.
Since he is working today I will just surprise him by cooking a delicious food that is different from our usual meals. Where to get the recipes? Well, my answer is in Ivillage food section. I used this site to get Holiday baking recipes that I cooked for the Holy week. One of those recipes is the Apple Mince Walnut Pie. Honestly, I had a hard time looking for walnuts in the supermarket. Good thing I find one after hoping from one mall to another.
Anyway, I am still thinking what to cook for dinner tonight. I will just choose two dishes; one for the main course and one for appetizer. I will just buy either chocolate cake or brownies for dessert. For the main course, I am choosing between the three Grilled Salmon with Korean Barbecue Glaze, Creamy Tomato-Stuffed Chicken and Pork Tenderloin with Rum Chutney. Those sounds delicious, but I will only choose one whose ingredients are available in the supermarket. For the appetizer, I only have one choice and that is Dumplings with Soy Slaw. It’s easy to make and we really love it.
Whew! It sounds like I have lots of things to do. Hopefully, I’ll get everything right. I don’t want to spoil the day by not perfecting the meals. If that happens, hubby will surely get mad for wasting resources. That’s why I’m a little scare now. Hehehe But, I am confident I will make it perfect. Hopefully!
So, I have to go now. I still have to buy those the ingredients. I’m sure it will be a long day for me. Oops I almost forget to buy a gift for him as well.
