Like I said in my December post, I miss Kish Iran. But, I didn’t expect hubby will go back this time. It’s been six days since he left the country for Kish. It’s not that he intends to stay there for long. It’s the nearest place he can exit without having to spend so much and going through difficult situations. I just wish he will be back before Valentine’s Day. I don’t want to spend that special day without him around. It’s not just boring, it’s also sad. I hope it will not be the case.

Anyway, I’m crossing my fingers that he will be back before that day. I’m already looking for discount flowers around the web. The first one I visited is proflowers. They offer my favorite flowers and I’ve been a great fan for a long time. All I need to do now is decide, which flower to give him.

The year is about to end. Everyone is indeed excited to start anew. Of course that goes same for me. I wanted to start 2012 right. My 2011 is okay, but I want it better this year with a goal of becoming excellent in my job and having a fat savings account. This is something that I need to master because I’m quite new to the industry. Becoming great will lead me to better opportunities in the future.

Anyway, as early as now, I’m already thinking of what to get him for valentines day this year. We celebrate two occasions during February, the valentines and hubby’s birthday. Valentines comes first so I should think of the gift for that first. I just don’t want any gifts; I want to be personalized and unique to show how much I really care.

For this year, Ron (roommate) will not be able to be with his wife’s delivery date. This is the first year he is away from his family due to work. What more for his wife who will be alone during the delivery. I’m sure she is really saddened for not having her husband around.

Before, there was a time was when plus size women were totally left out in trendy wears. They were beaten into accepting the lie that only thin ladies had the right to beautiful dresses. They dreaded boutiques and every other place that called attention to their shape and size. They preferred to be invisible because of the numerous heartaches they’ve had due to taunts from both friends and family about their ugly bulky size. The stores and outlets didn’t help issues either. They always had a habit of having very thin ladies as sales persons. These lots who had always been praised for their great shape have grown accustomed to showing their disdain for the plus size.

And, least I forget, their section was somewhere at the back of the store where they won’t scare away better looking customers. Many businesses still run their plus size departments this way. Bad as it was, the plus sized accepted their sentence without protesting. They accepted this conspiracy without a contest. The worst of designs were for them. It seemed like only designers who lacked ability undertook their design. Whereas designs are made to enhance looks, their designers consistently preferred styles that did all but enhance their appearance.

That was the norm until a few savvy business persons began to changed things. Perhaps it was the intervention of fate that made Delta Burke, a former beauty queen, become plus sized. Perhaps because she knew that dresses were made to enhance looks from her stint as a beauty queen, she started a line of tastefully designed dresses especially for the plus size. She made huge profits and since folks go wherever money goes, a lot of other enterprises started attending to the specific needs of this formerly disregarded group.

J. Jill, Plus Size, Lane Bryant and others brought in innovations that gave shape to the most off shape. There was a massive departure from the jute sack designs that these group had been condemned to in the past. These designs used the ingenuity of color combinations, darts, packets and other options to give life to their innovations.

So who says it is a crime to be larger? And who says that looking trendy is only for skinny teenagers? The plus size women now have options that let them bring their variety into the fashion window. Thank goodness for whoever first thought up the idea of giving the plus size ranges to look great in. After all, sooner or later most of us will add some pounds especially those of us on the fringes of slim. And who wouldn’t at 50 years plus? A million thanks for those great plus size designs. We can all look our best at any size.

practice makes perfect as they say

English isn’t my primary language. Even though it is considered my country’s second official language, I can still say many needs a lot of improvement, which unfortunately includes me. But, I’m trying to work it out and perfect my English both in speaking and in writing. I’m doing that through continuously reading English articles in different medium.

One way or the other I can construct articles. If I were going to rate it, it’s poor especially in the usage of words. In terms of speaking, I have no confidence to rate it because I know it truly sucks. In the first place, I’m not a speaker type of person. Add the fact that my vocabulary isn’t that good so it’s indeed a problem. But, like I said I’m trying my best to perfect it to have the confidence to use the language in speaking.

Currently, I’m planning to purchase a speaking dictionary and thesaurus; the one I can use everywhere and anywhere especially on my idle time like riding a bus. Practice makes perfect as they say, so hearing the right words often can greatly help in expanding vocabulary, improve spelling, and master the English language.

Few months ago, one of my cousins contacted me asking for financial assistance for her college. It’s not a good timing since I’m still striving in my finances. indeed a new place

Wooh! I’m indeed in a new place meeting new faces and experiencing new weather, culture and lifestyle. I’m in UAE now with hubby visiting his brother. We hadn’t had a full rest ever since we arrived here last Tuesday morning. I feel like I’m going to have flu later on if I’m kept going after roaming the hot city for two days. So, we decided to stay in the house and rest even just for the day.

Lucky for us, the house has a wifi connection available so we can surf the web if we become bored. While surfing the web, I came across the silver dollar site. I don’t really have an urgent need for this because it requires money for me to buy it, but this will come in handy in the future. That’s why I continue reading since I’m also aware that it’s a great investment other than gold. If I just have sufficient money, I will have to purchase it immediately that’s for sure.

Hubby instantly fall in-love with Chevy Captiva the first time he laid eyes on it on the web. He waits to see the car personally, which already happen last week at the mall. Chevy and other car companies showcase some of their car that is for sale. He got too excited that he even ends up inquiring about the requirements needed. That’s not too surprising since he really wanted to have a car for a long time already.

While at home, he instantly became busy looking for car accessories like chevy custom floor mats. It goes to show how much he wanted to have a car with custom accessories on it. He also shared some of the things he wants when he has his own car. Well, I can say that it would no longer be just like any other cars. Last year, Roxanne brought home a lot of products for elderly people from her origin country. She is taking care of her grandmother’s need whenever she’s on vacation. But, this year is a different story. Since the US is under a bad economic situation most of the companies, including her workplace is in tight inventory. Workers are no longer allowed, of course ever since, to take out supplies.

She now has little choice, but to purchase those products, which I think is the right thing to do. She told Maya to accompany her tomorrow to buy those including incontinence products, which is the most important item in her shopping lists. Last year, she brought home at least 70 pieces. I’m just guessing she will need the same quantity.

But, I’m a little worried about her because it’s been two days since she started feeling sick. So, I suggest shopping at DME (Disposable Medical Express) store. They offer a wide range and high quality medical products at the best possible price. In other words, she doesn’t need to push herself to go out of the house while recovering from whatever she feels. All she needs to do is to wait for her order to arrive. I’m also thinking this is the best way for elderly people to shop for their essentials. This way, they will have freedom to do shopping without having to exhaust a lot of energy.

Currently, brother is doing a roving teller job that requires him to move from place to place. Often, he is assigned to a nearby branch; other times to branches miles away from home. But, the latter lasts for more than two months; sometimes it ends up to six months. He rarely complains I only hear him do that when the hotel he’s staying is far from the workplace. That’s why now he brings his car with him wherever he is assigned.

However, he is faced again with a big challenge. If he drives, he takes full responsibility of the vehicle. Lucky for him, he hasn’t experienced mechanical breakdown before. But, I told him he can’t take chances. One of these days, I’m not praying though, it will happen. It’s better for him to get the right protection by having roadside assistance plan that will take care of everything. Having it will assure him that he will not get stranded in the road for a long period of time because help will come the soonest. There are other benefits that await him as well. But, the decision is still on him. I can’t insist myself even if I know the benefits.
